O Come All Ye Faithful (Hymn)

O Come All Ye Faithful
John Wade (1743)

O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye, to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him, born the King of angels;

Refrain
O come let us adore Him,
O come let us adore Him,
O come let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation;
O sing, all ye citizens of heaven above!
Glory to God, all glory in the highest;

Refrain

Yea, Lord we greet Thee, born this happy morning;
Jesus, to Thee be all glory given;
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing.

Refrain

“Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing.”  That phrase basically sums up the entire Christmas story.  God Himself came down to earth.  God became a man and took on flesh.  It truly is an amazing story and one worthy of celebration!  This year, maybe we should try to focus on the Saviour and all He has done for us for the entire Christmas season!
